Art is one of the fastest ways to add character and charm to any space – nurseries included! While there are a plethora of prints out there made specifically for nurseries, almost anything goes here.
Images one, two, three and four above are a few of our newest favorites for baby’s room. Janet Hill (1), Bella Foster (2), and Caitlin McGauley (4), sell a multitude of prints that you might even want to frame outside of the nursery! Image three is part of a series by Mr. Boddington’s Studio – we featured the ABC’s of LA here, but the company also makes a version for New York, Chicago and San Francisco (so cute!).
If you’re looking for unique and budget-friendly pieces (…aren’t we all?), we have a few ideas! Vintage constellation maps are a dime a dozen on Etsy and work quite well for a gender-neutral nursery. Framing pretty vintage book covers is another idea. Darling illustrated books (we love the ones circa the 1950s) can be found in troves on sites like Etsy and eBay. Last but not least, framing mementos – like the receipt for the dinner at which you told your husband you were pregnant – couldn’t be sweeter (thanks for the tip, Joanna!).
If you take away anything from this post, we hope that it’s to be yourself. Frame what you love, frame what makes you happy. Because in the end, nothing else matters : )
