During this time of celebration and remembrance, we at MDB give thanks to the memory of the men and women who have proudly served our Country. We hope you have a chance this weekend, in between barbeques and blockbuster movies, to take a moment to reflect in gratitude. Happy Memorial Day!

Sending our love and affection to all our MDB Moms out there! Wishing you a day of rest, relaxation, and family joy. xo, The MDB Team
Headquartered in Los Angeles (the heart of the West Coast) Cinco de Mayo is always a festive occasion at MDB. We take it as a time to celebrate the spirit of freedom and democracy…and as a time to indulge in a few tacos and margaritas! No matter what your reason for celebration, we wish you and your family a safe and festive Cinco de Mayo!

Featured in the inaugural edition of Domaine Home, the nursery of super-stylist Simone Harouche is our latest obsession. We love the mixing and matching of materials, textures, and prints…wouldn’t this be an amazing space to grow up in? We’re also pretty charmed by Simone’s approach to nursery styling; instead of succumbing to more traditional nursery elements, she embraced her own style and ran with it! Although we love that amazing mural (by Alexandra Fisher and Kevin Johnson of clamdiggin), our favorite piece in the nursery is our very own Nursery Works Sleepytime Rocker (covered in a custom print). Traditionally offered in Ecru, Mocha, and Slate, the Sleepytime looks even more fab in gussied up duds! To read the whole piece on Simone’s home, visit Domaine Home here.
April 1st is a special day for us at MDB…because it’s our birthday! On April 1, 2013 we celebrate The MDB Family’s 23rd Anniversary. The MDB Family started in 1990 with one crib, the Jenny Lind, and one goal, to make stylish children’s furniture that was up to our standards of perfect safety. 23 years later we’re proud to admit that we’re still at it!
Some highlights from our history:
1990: Million Dollar Baby is born, and our very first crib, the Jenny Lind, is introduced
1993: Georgia distribution center opens, MDB goes international
2000: DaVinci is born, China office opens
2003: Our first convertible crib, the Emily, is designed. With Emily, MDB introduces the first black-finish crib into the juvenile industry
2006: Babyletto is born
2007: MDB introduces the first mini crib that converts into a twin size bed, the Emily Mini Crib
2010: Nursery Works is acquired, 1 million cribs sold
2011: Franklin & Ben is born
2012: Partnership with Ubabub announced

May all your bunnies be chocolate, all your baskets full of eggs, and all your bellies full of treats. From our family to yours, we wish you the happiest of Easters!
…the luck of the irish!
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day from all of us at MDB!

In honor of BABYLETTO MONTH, MDB Designer Clara pulled together a list of her favorite celebration tunes.
This mix includes everything from good old fashioned Cyndi Lauper (girls DO just want to have fun) to some of Clara’s Korean favorites.
What music do you put on when it’s time to celebrate?
